My Pick For Five Casual PC Games to Play With Friends

My Pick For Five Casual PC Games to

Play With Friends

Spending a few hours with those close to you is always a worthwhile use of time. Everyone

needs to relax every once in a while, and if you have the energy for it, what better way to do

that than to hang out with friends? Remembering to cherish the joy in your life and be happy

in spite of things is one of the greatest forms of resistance out there. But after a long day, you

may not feel up for intense shooters or competitive fighting games. So, here’s my personal

pick for six chill games that I love to play with my friends.

Number Five - Raft

A much beloved title, Raft lets you board a small boat in the sea and survive by scavenging

what you can from the waters! Now, this one may not be a great pick if you or your friends get

thalassaphobic, but otherwise, it’s sure to be a relaxing time. Just be sure not to get seasick

like I did– there’s an option for that in the settings, luckily enough! Building a great water base

is sure to be a fun challenge. Gather your crew and work not just to survive, but to thrive in

this ocean world.

Raft comes with a great variety of tools for decorating and aesthetics. You can really make

your home pop against the blue of the water! Or, if you’re more into the survival aspect,

fighting off the sharks that come to gnaw at your boat is sure to be a thrilling venture. If that

sounds fun to you or seems like it’d be a good option for your friends, try it out sometime!

Number Four - Peak

Well, this inclusion should be no surprise. Peak has been all the rage these days, and for

good reason! This title comes with a fair deal of difficulty, but it’s also sure to be a rewarding

and delightful time. Even when you fail, it’s hard not to laugh as you hear your friends let out

startled shouts as they tumble down the mountain over the game’s immersive proximity chat.

Sometimes, it’s not the destination that matters, but the journey itself. And if you and your

scouting companions can manage to make it to the top, that’s all the better! Either way, win or

lose, the game will surely provide fond memories for you. So, if adventure excites you, gather

up your scouting badges and give it a go!

Number Three - Don’t Starve Together

Alright, I know what you’re thinking. Don’t Starve Together is a punishing indie survival game,

with devastating threats lying in wait around every corner. How exactly is that relaxing?

Well, it turns out that Don’t Starve Together can be a surprisingly cozy title if you give it time to

shine! With in-depth base building mechanics and a uniquely eye-catching art style, it’s a

great time if you’re up for a bit of a challenge. The atmosphere in this Klei classic is unlike

anything else. It’s important to keep in mind that it can be very punishing for new players,

however– its uncompromising nature is certainly a part of the title’s appeal, but it can be very

frustrating if you or your friends aren’t prepared for it. There are difficulty settings when

generating a new world that’ll help ease this somewhat, but it’s still something to make careful

note of. Be aware of this before you pick it up, but if it sounds like it’d be up your alley, then I

highly recommend it! And remember that you don’t necessarily have to be good at a game to

enjoy it– I can personally attest to that, since I have hundreds of hours in this title and its

singleplayer counterpart, and I still suck at it!

Even better yet, every copy of Don’t Starve Together purchased on Steam comes with a free

copy you can gift to a friend! It’s true! It’s important to be economical these days, so even

though the cost of these games is still something to be aware of, you can smile wide knowing

that this is a buy-one-get-one-free deal that’ll help you make a pal’s day. So, if Don’t Starve

Together sounds like the pick for you, don’t delay! Just watch out for those seasonal bosses,

and don’t let the lights go out.

Number Two -  Stardew Valley

It’s a staple indie title for a reason! When you’re looking to have a relaxing time, nothing beats

a visit to Pelican Town. In this relaxing farming sim, you can unwind in all sorts of ways. Pick

out some crops from Pierre’s shop and watch them grow, try your luck at fishing at a lake or

by the sea, or even spend a day just talking to the delightful townsfolk. The choice is yours to

make!

There are a great variety of ways to spend your time in Stardew Valley. If you’re looking for

something a bit more dangerous, the mines are always a good pick, or if you just want to

decorate your farm and take care of a collection of cute animals, that’s an equally valid way to

play. The game is versatile and can be enjoyed with as much careful optimization or casual

slowness as your tastes are suited for. And, no shocker, it’s even more fun with friends!

Join up on a shared farm to seek the magic of Stardew Valley. Work towards the farm of your

dreams together by taking up your preferred style of play and mastering it. Each playstyle can

contribute to the game in one way or another, so go nuts! If you’re looking to aim for any

particular objective, completing the community center is always a great start.

If you haven’t tried this wonderful title before, give it a shot! Hit that install button, open up

grandpa’s letter, and take a bus down to your family farm today.

Number One - Minecraft

Well, here we have it. One of the most beloved and prolific video games of all time, and one of

the very best casual games to play with your friends. It shouldn’t be a surprise– Minecraft has

been one of the most well known titles in the gaming world for years now, and for good

reason!

This sandbox survival title is versatile beyond belief. It lets your creativity flow in a way very

few other games can match. With the right selection of blocks, you can make your imagination

come alive right before your eyes! And if building isn’t your speed, then there are great lands

ahead to traverse, monsters to battle, and new realms to explore.

Furthermore, there are many ways to play. For one, a private server with your friends is

always sure to be a fun pick! Classic survival is something that can’t be beat. Map out the

world, and make a beautiful home to call your own. If you’re looking for a free option to do

this, try Aternos! Or, if that’s not quite your style, a multiplayer server may be for you. Delve on

into Hypixel, or one of the countless other servers, and see which minigames suit you best!

Work together with your pals or compete against them– either way, there’s surely fun to be

had. And if vanilla gameplay starts getting a bit too boring, there are countless mods to try that

can spice up your game! Just be careful not to accidentally install any viruses. Internet safety

is always key, everybody!

Conclusion

Well, there you have it! I know my taste in multiplayer games won’t quite match everyone

else's, but these are my personal favorite titles for playing with friends. If you decide to try any

of these out, I sincerely hope you enjoy them!

What are your favorite games to play with friends? There are no wrong answers– everyone

has different subjective tastes. And even a singleplayer game can be a great group bonding

experience if you let your friends spectate! What’s important is that you and your pals have

fun! In any case, game away, and be sure to let those you care about know that you

appreciate them!
